A Place at the Bay Details

Situated on 1.5 acres of private property, this wonderful vacation home can sleep up to 12 guests. The master bedroom is actually an incredible garden tub suite. With a large living/dining room as well as a full kitchen, and beautiful back patio, A Place at the Bay is perfect for families and groups of friends.

Each room includes a comfortable bed, dresser, and nightstands. One bedroom has a bunk bed. The entire unit is covered in green carpet for a cozy feel throughout. Large comfy couches can be found in the living room.

The outdoor area is backed by a lovely wooden area. Relax outside at the picnic table with a glass of wine in the evenings or a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. Staying at A Place at the Bay also allows you to save on dining out. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and up-to-date appliances for an enjoyable cooking experience.

Visiting Put-in-Bay

Traveling to Put-in-Bay is short as well as sweet. The Jet Express ferry is the fastest way to get to the island and lets passengers right downtown. The Miller ferry allows you to bring a vehicle on board. Guests can call the Island Taxi service to get a ride to A Place at the Bay.

Fly to the island in style with Griffing Flying Service or Island Air Taxi. Arrivals and departures are available from dawn to dusk all year round. If you do need to get to the island during the winter months, this is the way to go.

The location of this delightful cabin is really ideal. Far from the hustle and bustle of downtown, guests are close to a whole host of outdoor activities close by. South Bass Island State Park is also very close to the cabin. This lovely state park offers picnic areas, playgrounds, and a small beach for swimming.
There is a public boat launch and Put-in-Bay Watercraft Rentals rents a variety of crafts to enjoy the lake. Grab a stand up paddleboard and head off on an adventure.

Saunders Golf Course is a great 9-hole par 3 golf course. Interestingly enough, it is one of the few places golf carts are not permitted.

One of the best things about Saunders and your vacation home is the close proximity to Joe’s Bar, the self-proclaimed “best dive bar on the planet.” Hang out in the backyard, sipping on brews, and playing game after game of corn hole.

For a more upscale dinner, try Goat Soup and Whiskey or head into downtown Put-in-Bay where the options are pretty much endless. Bars and restaurants, as well as nightlife options await you.
